Reservations

BYRON BAY EXPRESS will not guarantee availability on any scheduled services unless an advanced booking and or payment has been made.

Internet bookings will be closed an hour prior to departure

Telephone bookings will be accepted up to 15 minutes prior to departure if payment is made at the time of booking. Seats will not be reserved without prior payment.
Agent Bookings as per the above conditions.

In the event that seats are available at the time of departure, passengers may purchase a ticket directly from the driver.

A booking can be changed up to 24 hours prior to your original booking departure time. This is subject to seat availability. To have your booking changed, please phone 0418 364 364.

Departures

Passengers are required to be at the departure point 15 minutes prior to scheduled departures.

REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY

Bookings are transferrable but non-refundable. BYRON BAY EXPRESS will honour ticketed bookings up to 3 months from the date of purchase. Note: The ticket will be deemed as travelled if prior arrangements have not been made prior to the scheduled departure time/date on the ticket.  In the unlikely event of a refund being approved, a $5 administration fee will be charged.

Luggage / Baggage / Surfboards 

Includes all items which accompany passengers whilst travelling, either on board or in the luggage trailer. BYRON BAY EXPRESS accepts no liability for lost, stolen or damaged luggage/baggage/surfboards during transit or at pick up/drop off locations.
There is no additional cost for luggage, baggage or surfboards except where items are considered excessive or beyond limits stated below.

Prior arrangements need to be made where a passenger has more than two items of luggage larger than standard suitcase size or standard backpack size (excluding carry on bags), or more than one surfboard or if the surfboard is longer than 8 feet in length.

Conduct

Passengers are required to conduct themselves in a manner acceptable to normal community standards. Aggressive or disorderly conduct displayed toward any other passengers or staff will not be tolerated and passengers may be refused entry or required to disembark at any time during transit.

Any costs incurred to the passenger/s as a result of refusal to board or removal during transit will be the sole responsibility of the offending passenger/s.

Drugs & Alcohol

BYRON BAY EXPRESS reserves the right to refuse entry or require a passenger to disembark at any time during transit if the passenger/s appear, in the opinion of BYRON BAY EXPRESS to be intoxicated or under the influence of drugs.

Any costs incurred to the passenger/s as a result of refusal to board or removal during transit will be the sole responsibility of the offending passenger/s.

Consumption of alcohol and illegal drugs is not permitted on BYRON BAY EXPRESS buses.

Smoking is not permitted on BYRON BAY EXPRESS buses.

Passengers with Disabilities / Special Needs

Passengers are required to advise BYRON BAY EXPRESS of any special needs including assistance with boarding/disembarking. We will wherever possible try to accommodate passenger’s needs.

Any passenger that requires more than minimal assistance from the driver to board/disembark may be required to be accompanied by a carer. Any assistance from the driver is at the drivers discretion to avoid injury to the driver.

Unaccompanied Minors

Internet bookings will not be accepted for unaccompanied minors. A legal guardian must be present when boarding and disembarking and relevant contact details for both guardians is required prior to departure.

In the event that a legal guardian is not present at time of disembarking and contact with the legal guardian cannot be made, the unaccompanied minor will be transported to the nearest police station for their own safety and security. BYRON BAY EXPRESS will not accept responsibility for the care of an unaccompanied minor beyond disembarkation.

Infants / Toddlers 

An infant / toddler aged 4 and under travels free and must be accompanied by an adult legal guardian at all times. Infant capsules / booster seats are not available however BYRON BAY EXPRESS will endeavour to fit a child restraint or booster seat if it is provided by the guardian/parent. Contact BYRON BAY EXPRESS for further information.

At the time of booking and during the duration of the journey, the parent / guardian must be willing to have the infant / toddler on their lap if the bus is full, otherwise a paying seat is necessary.

BYRON BAY EXPRESS recognizes and fully understands that your privacy is of paramount importance. Knowing how we collect and safeguard your personal information assists you to make informed decisions when choosing to use or purchase from our website.

Information we Collect

When you use our website you provide us with both personal information and Website information that is collected when browsing the web. Personal information collected may be in the form of emails or through the purchase of services which is treated in the same strict confidence as information you may provide over the phone. BYRON BAY EXPRESS does not sell, share or lease any information provided by you other than to enable us to provide the requested services. Contact us if you would like further information.

In the event that we are required by law to disclose information, we may do so where we believe our legal rights may have been infringed or disclosing information brings about legal action against persons who may pose a threat to others who use our services.

Website information collected may be information pertaining to the date and time you accessed our site, the pages that you viewed, the time you spent on the site and any links you accessed.

Information collected is used to assist us improve our services to you. This includes processing of payments, improved marketing, to update our site, correspond with you in relation to special offers or simply to thank you for using our service.

BYRON BAY EXPRESS accepts no responsibility and will not be held accountable for any services or promises made by other organisations who have linkages on our site. Our terms and conditions cease to be in effect when you use a link from our website to another organisation.

Use of our Website is deemed as your consent to collect your personal data for use as listed above.

Security

BYRON BAY EXPRESS uses PayPal and Stripe systems to process your payment. Through these systems, you are also able to pay by credit card with complete security. In the event you are not comfortable paying for services online, contact us for alternate payment methods.

Conditions of Travel

Passengers who have purchased a ticket must be able to present confirmation of their booking. Tickets are not required to be printed but the driver must be able to sight the booking confirmation or valid reservation number if requested by the driver prior to departure. Failure to present an e-ticket or reservation number may result in refusal to board.

Passengers securing an available seat without a prior reservation will be required to pay the driver, in full, prior to boarding.

All goods carried by passengers, either in the luggage trailer or on board are at the passengers own risk. BYRON BAY EXPRESS does not accept liability for goods lost, stolen or damaged either during transit or at drop off/pick up locations.

Passengers warrant that any luggage or other personal effects either carried on board or in the luggage trailer will not cause, either directly or indirectly, any damage or harm to other passengers, other passengers effects or cause damage to the property of BYRON BAY EXPRESS.

BYRON BAY EXPRESS reserves the right to refuse to carry any luggage or other personal effects without justification.

BYRON BAY EXPRESS will endeavour to honour its commitments relating to departure and arrival times but will not be liable in the event that times are unable to be met as a result of road, traffic, weather conditions or any other event that would reasonably cause a delay.

BYRON BAY EXPRESS will not be liable for any losses incurred as a result of delayed departure or arrival times or for delays relating to road, traffic, weather conditions or any other event that would reasonably cause a delay.

BYRON BAY EXPRESS reserves the right to vary schedules and prices without notice. Bookings made prior to any changes will be honoured and every endeavour will be made to notify passengers with valid bookings of changes to schedules.

BYRON BAY EXPRESS may refuse to allow any passenger to board or travel on any service where in the opinion of BYRON BAY EXPRESS that passenger is in breach of any of the terms and conditions listed.
